I strongly believe that our government should implement a single stream school in order to help in the success of the 1 Malaysia concept as it would nurture a sense of unity among students. Through single stream school, multiracial students could mingle and interact more effectively among them in a harmony environment. In addition, Mandarin and Tamil languages can be offered as elective subjects so that students can learn their friends’ mother-tongues and I beleive that this can help a lot in putting 1 Malaysia into success.
How to built 1 Malaysia?.Accenture in Malaysia began operations in 1979. Since then, it has grown from a five-person division into an acknowledged management and technology industry leader with almost 1,000 Malaysian professionals today. Over the years, Accenture has contributed significantly toward improving the success of local enterprises, which include top industry players in communications and high technology, insurance, banking, airlines, energy, natural resources and government. We are taking our strategy to the next level by helping clients become high-performance businesses. We see many opportunities to collaborate with client teams and help them stay ahead of the competition within today’s complex business landscape.
My very own solution is , try to incorporate this 1Malaysia concept in schools and this is a good move because school's a place where people gather and exchange ideas . I don't know if this concept has been applied in other schools as my school does not really feel "united" . Try to incorporate this concept by using a "schoolgoers mindset" or anything like it .
While as Malaysians, we have learned a great deal from our easternmost states about achieving our dream of a united and harmonious nation. To build towards a unified and harmonious malaysia with a bright future we must develop our nation as 1Malaysia. The renewed and expanded investment in the future of Malaysia that I have proposel is a step in this direction. Doing so will ensure that we are providing the same opportinities to all and improving the live of all Malaysians regardless of race, religion or the corner of Malaysia, that they in remote longhouse(Sarawak/sabah) or high- rise in we are all part of the Malaysians and that we love.
I strongly agreed with Hasliza that our government should incorporate the concept of 1 Malaysia in schools because schools are the best place to practice unity among Malaysian. As we know, our country practice education system based ethnic such as Sekolah Kebangsaan, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil, therefore, with such educational apartheid system, whole generations of Malaysians of different racial backgrounds have grown up for years without the benefit of studying, playing together and enjoying the rich cultural diversity to be found in this country of ours as the vision of 1 Malaysia. How to achieve the concept of 1 Malaysia if we did not start to built the feeling of togetherness and belonging as well as unity as early as possible among our future generation.
To built 1 malaysia we must work together to create unity and work together towards realizing the 8 values of 1 malaysia.Education is a very important change agent for children's social learning in school.
I think, the philosophy and policies should be clear because it will affect its implementation. It must look together with the philosophy of the existing as Rukunegara, the National Education Philosophy, Education Development Master Plan (PIPP) and others.
For me, the main value of 8 should be applied in malaysia teaching and learning and extra-curricular activities.
Although not new, it must be considered earnestly. It should be the core curriculum and measured in terms of learning outcomes both at school or at university.
For success, experts need to change the educational approach that values education is recognized and reflected important.
